MISSION STATEMENT: At Aligned Beauty & Wellness, my mission is to provide restorative, affirming care to my clients in a space that feels like home. ABOUT THE OWNER: My name is Nikki Murray. I'm a licensed makeup artist, aesthetician, tattoo artist, and the founder of Aligned Beauty & Wellness LLC. I am personally a survivor of breast cancer and empathize with the toll it takes on you physically and mentally, even long after recovery. When I discovered paramedical tattooing, I felt a pull within me that said "This is how I'm meant to serve others. This is how I give back", and thus the foundation for Aligned was born. I was certified in 3D Areola Tattooing through the Housley Institute in Cincinnati, OH, and combine holistic spa treatments with medical aesthetics to promote healing and confidence. My background in aesthetics spans everything from makeup artistry, to energy work, to sugaring, and even laser technician training. I am passionate about learning, and have made it my personal mission to learn as much as I can during my limited time on earth. Outside of Aligned Beauty & Wellness, I am a proud mother and creative professional who also serves as the Lead Makeup Artist at Terror At Skellington Manor in Rock Island, IL. Building and growing my MUA Team has been my passion project since 2019, and I have been acting at Skellington since 2015. SUGARING SERVICES: I am proud to be one of the few aestheticians in the Quad Cities offering professional sugaring as a primary means of hair removal. Sugar is a vegan and organic alternative to regular hard and soft waxes that is ideal for clients with sensitive skin, or who are more prone to ingrown hairs. Benefits of regular sugaring: • Hair will grow back finer and softer with regular sessions • Sugar is removed in the direction of natural hair growth, making the experience generally more comfortable than regular hard or soft wax. • Sugar adheres to the hair follicle only, and will not overly irritate the skin. • Sugar is 100% vegan and organic and consists of three ingredients - water, sugar, and lemon juice. Our wax, pre-care, post-care, and homecare products come from Sweet and True Sugaring Co. AREOLA TATTOO INFORMATION: For those interested in my 3D Areola Tattooing services, a consultation is required prior to your procedure to discuss medical history, healing stages, and desired results. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of your consultation, which is applied towards the final cost of your tattoo. PRE-PROCEDURE GUIDELINES: • Clients must be a minimum of 12 weeks recovered from their final reconstructive procedure. • Clients should receive clearance from their Surgeon/Doctor/Oncologist before proceeding with areola tattooing BRIDAL PARTY INQUIRIES: I am honored to have helped many brides feel their best on their big day. Cancellation Policy
Aligned requests more than 24 hours notice for canceling or rescheduling appointments - two last-minute cancelations accrued in a six month span will be required to pay a 20% non-refundable, non-transferrable deposit for all future appointments. No Call No Shows will be allowed one rebooking opportunity with a 20% non-refundable, non-transferrable deposit required. Chronic rescheduling requests are evaluated on a case by case basis and may result in the requirement of a 20% non-refundable deposit to hold a new appointment date, which will be forfeited if the appointment is rescheduled again.
